applying for Tier 1-G dependent visa for my husabnd

Post by alguest » Fri Sep 24, 2010 3:18 pm

Hi

I recently applied for my husband(on tier 2 - work permit) to become dependent on my visa - Tier 1 General from the UK..Which was obviously a big mistake as I got a refusal...and now I know that one cannot apply a dependent visa from UK.

Now I will be filing my visa from India in November, I will be including the following documents. Please can you confirm if they are right

1. Cover Letter from me
2. 6 months UK bank statement from me and my husband
3. 6 months UK pay slip from me and my husband
4. Employment letters from both
5. VAF 10
6. Tenancy Agreement - On my and husbands name (Do I also need an NOC from agent)
7. UK Marriage Certificate - Will this work in India???????????????? Or do I create a new one
8. Utility bills
9. Both passports (and photocopies of my tier 1visa)

Is there anything missing and will the UK marriage certificate work when applying from India?

Thank you

See also Can my dependants join me in the UK? etc.,

The UK marriage certificate should be acceptable, as it's for a UK visa after all!

Why rejected?

Hi,

Could you explain why the visa got rejected?
I think he can apply for Tier1 dependent if he is in Tier2 ICT within UK?

Thanks!

It was rejected because what you suggest is not possible.
