Obie wrote:What i suspect the guy was trying to convey to you is that, once you have sent the EU1 application, all your document and a letter from the minister asking you to go an register for a 6 months temporary Stamp 4 will be sent to you within 4 weeks. This is not the confirmation or approval of your wife's application.
This will give your wife the opportunity to work, and the rest, whiles her application is being processed.
I send you a PM with all what i have learned from the guys in here.luv2tr4v3l wrote:hi Stefan!
your wife and i have the same case. I am also from the Philippines married to a German. My husband and i arrived here last Sept. 15. Just wondering if she register first at Garda or applied right away for the EU1? I was also ask by the immigration officer at Dublin Airport to register at Garda within 1 month.
Thanks in advance
Obie wrote:That statement is not true, any parent can claim Child Benefit for a child in Ireland. There is no requirement, to the best of my Knowledge that the claimant has to be the mother.
The Mother can claim, once she gets her 6 months stamp 4, this could be out of personal choice, but there is no requirement it has to be claimed by the mother.
So long as you are working in Ireland, your child is entitled to Child Benefit.

Then why it states it on the application form ? Also when i call the Child Benefit Section i was told that only the mother can apply, only in case that she is not in country or we living seperate and the child is with me i could apply and maybe getting the child benefit.
But i will try, we will see what they will tell me when i apply
If it not works she can still apply, does child benefit any negative effect on her stamp 4 application ?
Thanks
Stefan
Thanks, but i already mentioned that in my first letter that came with the application and the documents that he did not register us with the PRTB.Monifé wrote:That happened to us.
Inform them that your landlord does not want to register with PRTB and that you have supplied an original contract/lease and also supply bills and bank statement with your address and names on them. Inform them that it is not a requirement under the EU law to provide PRTB form and that you have provided other satisfactory evidence of residency here in Ireland.
Get a letter from your employer. Submit this along with a copy of your employment contract again. Inform them in your letter that you already supplied your contract and here is a copy of it and a letter from employer and that you will forward on your payslip when you receive one.
Also inform them that they must issue your spouse a temporary stamp 4 for the duration of the application process and that you have provided them with the relevant required documentation.
