I (with my wife) got the visa today after 2 1/2 months.
We applied on on 16th July
paasports recieved on 30 September. Visa valid from october 1st. However I will have to wait atleat 3 months. Will that be aproblem?
What are the new developments relating to the UK immigration.

no, not in relation to your entry however the qualifying period towards permanent residency would start counting only after you have entered the country.
