Dismissed cases should be considered spent, but than US dismissed cases to Uk spent may have some more elements which may be I am not able to understand. So rather than getting a 10 year ban I have to make sure that We are correct about the dissmissed case being spent.

Also if you need to ask any question, please ask more specifically with more details. I might be able to advice as we are (as you say) in almost same situation.
