2 yr visa but passport expiring before that.

Hi all,

My sister is planning to apply for a 2 yrs visitor visa along with her 2 children (7 & 4). They have all been to the UK before.

Her daughters passport expires in 1 yr & 10 months time. Hers & her sons passport are valid for longer than 2 yrs.

Will that be a problem? How do ECOs deal with visa applications which are of longer duration than passport validity esp for children.
