My Mistake - 90 Days statement

Post by ukwebber » Thu Oct 14, 2010 9:43 am

HI there,

My visa is expiring on 1st January 2011. I deposited funds in my bank account on 10 October 2010. I should have done it 10-12 days earlier. I know it is my mistake. But it just totally slipped out of my mind that I need 90 days bank statement because previously i been providing only one month statements for my student visa extension. I do not have any funds in any bank accounts back home.

Mistake is there from my side. But that doesn't mean that I should not exist :-s

Please help me find a solution.

Sure! But continuous existence in UK may be a problem.

In that case you are out of luck if you wish to apply from within the UK.

You may return to home country before expiry of your current visa, arrange for the banks statement(s) to be delivered to you there when the 90 days are over and then apply for Tier 1 (PSW) EC in home country.

my MBA dissertation submission date is October 30th. Is it possible that I can ask my college to give me more time for my dissertation? As if my dissertation delays then I will get student visa extension in December and then I can apply for PSW in February at least. Now thing is, in what case a student can ask for more time to complete his research work dissertation.

Your help is appreciated :$

I am doubtful if your university / college will allow you 2+ months extension to submit your dissertation. But the decision rests with the authorities, so only they can tell you for sure. And it is up to you to think of a viable excuse!

And then the question of extending your visa on the basis of delayed submission. Check with UKBA what documentary evidence you'll need from your University / college to apply for an extension in such case.

Fellow you have made a big mistake, anyway following are the options for you I believe:
1. If you have any other accounts in UK/or abroad in ur name you can attach bank statement from there.
2. Take admission in some other course and on behalf of that course apply extension for ur student visa.
3. Hope your university does not release the results by the end if january :P
Thanks
