HSMP dependent visa advice required urgent

Hello.. I am an Indian citizen living in UK on HSMP visa. I am getting married next month in india and want to get dependent visa for my visa. I have contacted visa application centre in india and they told me i need to fill VAF2 form i.e. non-point based employment form available under
http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply/vafs/

Now back to my situtation last friday I got redundant from my permanent engineer's position and now i have registered my own company in UK.
One section of VAF2 requires my employment details, earning and contact number to verify my employement.

1. As I will be fired from my present job and I will be unemployed.. Is this a problem/issue while applying my wife's visa even when i am on HSMP visa?

2. If yes; should I show I am self-employed now. If i show., i am self-employed how i am going to show my earning proof because i don't think i will be working on anything that soon.

I have much more than maintenance funds (i can say 5X or more) is this of any help at all if i say i am unemployed.. I will have my payslips will 31 october,2010.

Please anyone can help me in my situtation and recommend me what can i do?
What should i show in form and what evidence shall i provide..

i am not an expert - but i think it does not matter if you are unemployed when you on tier-1/HSMP as long as u have maintenance funds
- ie for dependent visa so at the time of application if your are unemployed you can declare so

how long is your visa valid ?
