Indian passport renewal by Post- Feedback?

Hi

My current passport (10 year validity) is expiring in april next year. I want to renew the passport.

Is there any recent positive feedback from those who have applied for new passport by post in London. It is really quite difficult for me to take almost a day off work and start queuing early but on the other hand i am a bit concerned about relying on them for postal applicaiton (especially after getting ILR stamp last week)

Also if there is no other alternative- what realistic time shall i aim to get tehre to get the passport renewed?

I have had a very very bad experience with HCI, London when I tried surrendering my Indian passport by post - I ended up flying to London from Belfast after 2 months of frustration so no I would not recommend doing anything with HCI directly by post....they just dont care!!

I need to renew my passport as well( expiring in April ). I read the things at HCI London web site http://hcilondon.in/re_issue.php link.

So, we need to fill the re-issue form? and what documents are required apart from the filled application and current passport?
