Spelling error in naturalisation certificate

Post by rg1 » Mon Oct 25, 2010 4:22 pm

My wife's maiden surname is spelt wrong in naturalisation certificate. She does not use maiden name anymore and her passport (Indian) is in married name.

Should I get it corrected by sending to UKBA first or apply for British passport anyway?

I tried to call UKBA but they don't seem to pick up the phone.

Assuming the application form was filled up accurately, IMHO, you should get the correction done before applying for the passport.

Email Nationality contact centre if unable to contact on phone.
