Time taken by HCI London to issue new passport??

Time taken by HCI London to issue new passport??

I recently applied for a Schengen business visa (in London) and the VFS office refused to accept my application as I have a 20 year validity Indian passport (with Tier-1 stamped). The passport still have 'years' left on it.

I have been asked to get a new passport (10 year validity) from the Indian consulate.

I need to know that if I go and explain my situation to HCI London, will they be able to issue me a new passport within one or two days.

It might be a worthless exercise for me if the HCI take a week to issue the new passport as I need to travel (to eurpoe) this weekend.

I need some help!!
