Tier 1 General Dependant Visa

Hi,

I have a valid Tier 1 General visa which will expire in Jul 2011. My wife is on Tier 1 General Dependant visa.

I am planning to apply for a dependant visa for my new born baby girl. But in February 2011 i will be applying for extension and at that time again i have to apply for my Dependants (wife and daughter). Hence i have to bare double cost for my daughters Visa.

If i apply for my extension now and once i get the new visa (which will be valid from Jul 2011) can i apply for my Dependants (wife and daughter)?

My visa : valid till Jul 2011
Wife Dependant visa : valid till Jul 2011
New born baby: No Visa

Option 1:
I apply for new born baby's visa which will be valid till 2011
In February 2011, i will applying for extension for me and my dependants. i.e. i will be baring double cost of visa for my daughter.

Option 2:
Now I apply for extension. Once i get new visa which will start from Jul 2011, I apply extension for my dependants(wife and daughter). My wife already has valid dependant visa till Jul 2011 but my new born daughter doesnt. So is option 2 valid for me?

Has anyone come across such situation?

If the uk-born-child will not be travelling abroad until such time that you apply for extension, you may defer applying for dependant leave to remain for the child until then.

My baby is in India. To bring them to UK, Baby's Visa has to be applied in India.

Thats why i wanted to know out of the two options which would be best. Option 1 is straight forward but i have to bare double cost for baby's Visa.
Not sure about Option 2.

A fact you missed sharing in the first instance.

You may either go for option 1 or option 2, but do remember that there is no guarantee that if you apply for extension now UKBA will grant you new leave effective from July 2011. In such case, depending on how long you have been staying in the UK, you may need to apply for another extension (for everyone) before becoming eligible for settlement.
