Still Waiting...

Post by darikusa » Wed Mar 17, 2004 3:46 am

Hi,

I've applied from USA. Still waiting for response. It hasn't been six weeks for me yet. My credit card has been charged but haven't received my originals documents back. I'm going to wait another week and call them regarding a decision made on my case.

Thanks for the update, Tech. Only a month of apps to go through before they dig down to mine! That's not so bad. Thanks for putting a light at the end of the tunnel.

My application was received by HO 9 weeks ago and it is 10th week now.
Haven't heard from them yet, What could possibly be going on with my application?

Has anyone been waiting more than 9 weeks? Please let me know.

My appl. has not yet been processed. When ever i call (preferebaly on Monday's) i get the answer that "it's in the queue and it will take time for another 2 weeks to process the application, please call back next week for any progress and also if there is an urgency in processing the application please fax a letter to the HSMP and they can expediate the process". AS i have no immediate urgency .... i keep them calling every Monday.
My ref num is ::010***

Thanks,
Rajp

Rajp,

My reference number is also 010***. This eternal wait is getting to be quite exasperating. When I applied (first week of Jan), the published turnaround time was a day for 90% of applications. Now they say 8 weeks minimum, but even that is already old news. :x

Hi,
I received the approval letter from HSMP yesterday. It took about 11 weeks to get a response for my case. (applied from USA:: Over 28yrs appl).

I received only the approval letter and not my documents. I called them just now and got the answer that normally both the documents and the (approval) letter will be posted at the same time and i will be receiving them in a week. Did this happen to anyone else getting the approval letter and the documents separately??

Thanks,
Rajp

Congratulations potinenir!

I think I've heard someone saying in this very forum that he had his approval letter posted seperately... not 100% sure

Did you applied in last week of Jan. It seems now they are processing the appln for last week of Jan.

Thanks,
Rajp

Many congratulations on your achievement and best wishes with HSMP EC application which should be a mere formality - do let us know how you get on and duration of granted visa. We've seen two posters say they got a 2 yr HSMP visa :? .

Hi Kayalami,
Thanks for the wishes and yes i will update the details with my Entry clearance. But as i'm applying from USA and not from INDIA i might get only one year. I'll be applying for my EC in first week of MAY.

Thanks once again,
Rajp

Hi,
I applied for EC at the NewYork embassy. I used the fast track online system, filled the form, printed it and posted it along with my passport and the required supporting documents on June 17th-04.I received an email today stating that the visa has been granted and my passport is in the mail and i will be receiving it tomorrow. The whole process thru the post took approx. 2weeks. I requested the starting date to be 20-SEP-04. I'll update with further details after i receive my passport.
Thanks,
Rajp.

Thank you all for the feedback on EC Approval/ Clearance for US applicants. I am locking this topic to encourage posts be placed on the EC Approval/ Clearance stickys at the top of the forum so that this Q does not get repetitive. Thank you for your understanding.
