Tier 1 (General) dependent VISA guidance needed

Post by aayushd » Sun Nov 28, 2010 1:59 pm

Hello All,

I have got my Tier 1 General Visa recently which is valid from Jan 2011 and i am still in India. I now wanted to apply for a dependent VISA for my spouse and we want to go to UK together and search the job together. Is it possible to apply for her VISA while i do not have a job in UK. However i have enough funds to show. Also is the english test necessary ? If i get a job in UK will it help to show the job offer with her application ?

Regards,
Aayush

You can apply for spouse's Visa anytime without any job offer.

She does not need to show 'English proficiency'.!

All the best. Read the guidelines. If you yourself have applied for Tier-1 and secured the visa then spouse's Visa should be a cakewalk!
Thanks,
Sumit.

And is my passport (orignal) also required for her VISA?

Sorry for the stupid question, but do not want to take any chance :)
