Post by mrsahmed » Fri Dec 10, 2010 11:24 am

Hi we are just at a dead end with trying to find out why my husbands bc application is taking so long.

It has been 10 months and no outcome. So frustrating. MP route no help at all, they just tell us what the home office has told us. 6 months is an average, waiting for information. Case can not be decided yet. How long would you all wait before you feel its an unacceptable waiting time and what would you do to get to the bottom of why its taking so long..ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Thanks.

you best option is to call home office and let them know you haven't heard from them yet if you applied for naturalisation. it says you have to wait for naturalisation for two week up to four weeks and how did you send it for them? did you send it with special delivery??

Already called them so many times, MP has called them. sent the application through councils check and send service. The actuall guidance timescale is 6 months but ours has gone past that, nearly double, still nothing.

This must be vbery frustrating. Have you yalked to any lawyers (not consultants, but lawyers who wrok in the immigration area)? They might be able to shed some light.

The least HO can do is give you a reason why its taking so long.

Hope you hear soon from them, with approved application.
