naturalization approval time: CT1 and CT2

Post by ezh » Tue Feb 14, 2006 3:04 pm

Hi friends,

some time ago it was a little discussion here on the other thread about "caracther check letters" signed by Miss YYYY CT1. It was not any conclussion made.

I have also received a character check letter (dated 7th of December, 9.5 weeks after I submitted). It was also signed by Miss YYYY, but instead of CT1 it was CT2. I haven't heard anything from the IND since.

Does anybody know what are CT1 and CT2? Is there any difference between them?

Is here anyone who had a CT2 character letter and then was approved? If yes, how quickly has the approval letter arrived?

Thank you

Difficult to say what exactly it means, but the general consensus was Case Working Team... However, this is just an assumption.

am I correct suggesting that CT1 is dealing with the NCS applicants and CT2 - with the postal applicants?

Well, I went trough the posts (including yours). Those who got CT1 letters were all using the NCS and got their approvals relatively quickly. To be fair I could not find a post from people with CT2 letters. So the suggestion I made above is purely speculative but nevertherless could be correct.

Anyone with CT2 letters here? make you voice heard, please.

Hello Guys, I think 'CT8' are really fast when they does your character check. They only took around 2 weeks to complete my checking.
Just a thought.

Right now for the people writing in this forum and who got a charachter letter we have the following data:

CT1 - people applied using the NCS,

CT2 - people applied by post,

CT8 - people applied using solicitor's services

For the CT1 case there are many people. For the CT2 and CT8 cases there are only 2 people (so the statistics is not complete!), myself and confused1, respectively and we were waiting for much longer. But whatever is your CT don't get paranoid...

CT8 took 4.35 months to process the application for Naturalisation, submitted by a solicitor.
