English Test

Post by sidshekhar » Thu Dec 16, 2010 1:21 pm

Hello,
I have been in the UK on Tier 1 and granted ILR last week. My wife who is a Tier 1 dependant has to change her Visa to FLR(M). Due to rule change she has to do English test. I looked at the English requirement and it states that she needs to pass speaking and listening units only as per FLR(M) requirements at CEFR Level A1 . When you do IELTS or TOEFL you have to do other units Writing and reading which is unnecessary. I looked at ESOL (English for Speakers for Other languages). The test can be taken for listening and speaking independently. I am looking for test centre where they conduct this test on demand in the UK. I have searched on the internet without any success. If anyone has done the test please advice.

Contact the approved (ESOL) test providers and check with them if any of their centres provide "test on demand".
