Interesting because they stopped taking telephone bookings for Tier 1 last week. Anyone who contacts them and gets more details, please share, it would be useful to understand.

What a weired thing UKBA is playing with us ?

Even you sit there 24 hours, you wont see single appointment slot any where in UK.

I am decided to send my application through Solicitor.

Biometic is different from considering your actual application though, right? Biometric doesn't mean reviewing your application form, evidence earnings, etc.

They used to take bookings but phone but not for a few weeks now. I have never seen an online slot and I have been looking for ages. So I am just going postal.

This is because they are not generally accepting any bookings at PEOs between 23-12-2010 and 04-01-2011.

This also includes law firms, as we got a letter from them a few weeks ago informing us that they would be not accepting legal reps for the above period, too.

Hi all,

I have tried mostly during morning time..between 9.30 to 11am and i have got appointment slots a lot of time. But u need to try every 2 mins to get one..

With the PBS Tier1/Tier 5 you have to give biometrics every time u apply for a visa so the option has changed..so when u attend the Home office you will be asked to provide a biometrics...

Thanks

They must be but with a very thin workforce. Remember there are just 4 working days between 23 dec and 4th jan: 24, 29,30 and 31st. In reallity there is hardly any work done on Christmas eve or new years eve.
