ILR Self Employed

Post by jgsjgs » Fri Dec 24, 2010 11:11 am

I'm a contractor working for my company.
Wife is the director of the company. She is on a dependant visa. She has already completed 3 years on dependant visa.
I'm going to apply for my PR in Feb. Going to submit the following documents:-
1. 3 months payslip & dividend voucher
2. 3 months personal bank statement and company bank statement
3. Letter from employer (given by the accountant)
4. Life in the UK exam result
5. 5 years P60
do they verify for our earnings in the last one year?
Also my wife has lived in UK for 3 years and in that she was out for 6 months during her delivery? Will she be eligible for PR dependant?
Is there any criteria for the kids PR as dependant?
As a director of the company is it required for my wife to show the earnings?

Your documentation looks spot on. Dividend vouchers are not required If you are providing acocuntant letter. To be onsafer side, If possible try to provide documents of last 6 months instead of 3 months.
I provided the same set of documents in last december and got ILR on the same day.

If your wife apply as your dependent, they won't check her earnings.

I am preparing the covering letter for my ILR with the above mentioned documents..

Can I specify the Letter from the Accountant as Employer Letter ? Or say that as Accountant Letter only ?

Thanks

Section -> 5.3 - Are you working in the UK? If so, what is your pay each month after income tax and other deductions? ==> Can I put salary and divident combined or only salary?

Chetan,

Thanks for the accountant letter template. Its a great help. In addition to the documents that jgsjgs mentioned above, is there a requirement for the accountant to provide updated profit and loss statement as well?

Hi, I am applying for ILR in June this year and claiming earnings (dividend + salary) from my limited company where my wife is also a director. Will there be any issue becuase of this or the main applicant needs to be the sole director? (We both hold one ordinary share of £1 each).
