Including PF on Earnings

Post by gayathrisundarrajan » Mon Dec 27, 2010 9:22 pm

Hi all,

I am planning to apply for Tier 1 General Migrant Visa next month. I am a salaried employee with a Software Company. I require a minimum of 30 points in the previous earnings section to qualify which I am hoping to satisfy with next month's salary.

My Doubt is as follows. My gross salary as indicated in the payslips includes a PF component. Apart from this, I receive my employer's contribution towards my PF acct which is shown on a separate PF-YTD statement provided by my employer. Also, my CTC breakup shows a portion of my earnings to be towards Gratuity. These two components can be shown only through statements given by my employer and is not credited into my bank account. Can I show these components to be part of my previous earnings? If I do not show these components, I wont make up 30 points even on next month.

Please clarify my doubt and oblige.

Many Thanks

Employer's Provident Fund or Pension contribution can NOT be used to claim earning points.

Your own contribution towards gratuity is simply a deduction out of your gros salary. You will claim points on your Gross Salary without gratuity deduction.

I believe your gross earning for each month would include your gratuity and PF contributions.... ur employer contribution cannot be shown but technically it is part of your CTC...

cannot claim UK experience if it doesn't sum up to 25K GBP...

policy guidance clearly mention that employer contributions such as pension contribution etc are not considered as part of earning.

It should be considered as earning but per HO rules it is NOT.
