Send copy of passport or not?

Post by geekboy » Thu Feb 23, 2006 5:16 am

Hi All,

Have been seeing that quite a few people have been sending notarised copies of their passport's details page with their HSMP applications.

My question is - as this is not a requested piece of documentation, does it add any value?

Cheers...

Proof of age is compulsory if you are applying under 28 category.

If you are anytime in doubt of whether or not to send something, just send it(if you can). It can only help.

It has a value of 5 points for under 28 category as it acts as proof of age.

You need not submit copy of your passport as proof of age. You could use your birth certificate. If I were to apply for under 28 category and I had both, I would submit both.

Oops.. I should have mentioned that I'm applying in the *over* 28 category.

(but had noticed others > 28 sending in passport copies...)

Cheers...

Perhaps they are just following the crowd. You need only send it if you want to use it as evidence in some category. Otherwise it is not a pre-requiste.
