When can I apply for wife's naturalisation ?

When can I apply for wife's naturalisation ?

My wife is on her own Tier2 and will be eligible for ILR by the end of 2011 (5 years on WP + Tier2). I’m on ILR and eligible for BC now. After my BC can I she apply for naturalisation as soon as she has got her ILR ?
The caveat is that does the 3 years stay in the UK need to be as a dependant or it can be any legitimate stay in the UK.

Sushdmehta, your take on this please ?
