Tier 2

Post by Ash8 » Tue Jan 11, 2011 3:47 pm

Hello,

My friend has been in this country from 2007. He came to this country on workpermit. He then changed his job last year with another company which sponsored his tier 2. He has now got another job offer with third company , who will sponsor his tier 2.
Now the question is - his 5 years will finish next year 2012. But will all the years be counted as he worked for three different companies who sponsored his visas but there was no gap in visas. They were continuous.
Please, can someone tell that will he be elligible for ILR next year if the current rules for getting ILR remain.

Thanking in advance

As long as there is no gap he is eligible for ILR but it is always adivsed not to switch job 12 months before you apply for ILR.

switching ur job is ur right, so it doesnt effect at all. if u get good opportunity u should switch ur job, homeoffice is not bothered. if he legally lives in uk for 5 years and have not spent more than 90 days/year out of uk, he is fine.
