Tier 2 General or ICT help

Post by cxrmike » Thu Jan 13, 2011 7:42 am

I was a Tier 1 aspirant and wanted to apply in first week of Jan but unfortunately it didn't work.

Now planning to apply for tier 2.
Here is my details, Please suggest me what I should do.

I was an employee of abc from Jun 2008 to Mar 2010 in USA and an employee of xyz from April 2010 till date in USA. But currently working from India. I've xyz branch in UK.

I read that to be eligible for Tier 2 ICT, I've to work atleast 12 months in the same company.

Can my company sponsor Tier 2 General ?
or what are my options to get Tier 2 ? Please help

I also read that employer needs to get sponsorship letter. How long will the entire process take ?

If your employer is a registered sponsor, they may sponsor you as Tier 2 (General) or Tier 2 (ICT) migrant subject to you qualifying for either category.

See Points-based system Tier 2 (Skilled Worker) - visa application guide and Tier 2 policy guidance.
