Possible to go abroad on a Fiancée Visa?

Does anyone know if it's possible to go abroad, i.e. out of the country you intend to get married in whilst your partner is on a fiancée visa? Or is she/he not allowed out of the country until we're married?

You can go abroad but if you marry abroad and your fiance comes back on the fiance visa, your partner may have trouble entering as he/she will no longer be a fiance but a spouse.
