im from bulgaria and me and my child have the blue card from the home office(TEMPORARY RECIDENCY)i have the right to work,apply for benefits and etc.do u think its beter to wait another year and then apply to be on the safe side?thank uwunder wrote:More information please!

Generally, it is a problem that you were away for a year - it effectively resets your clock for citizenship.

So any Bulgarian national can't aquire PR status before 1st January 2012 (5 years of exercising Treaty Rights).
Then you need to hold PR status for at least 12 months before the date of application for British Citizenship, so 1st January 2013 is the earliest date according to current legislation for Bulgarians to apply for BC on the basis of being EEA nationals.
