Tier-1(General)dependent visa status applied fromVFS chennai

Hi,

I have applied for Tier1 general dependent visa at VFS chennai on 29th Dec 10. Till now the status is Visa application is under process at the British High commision.

Its seems to be so depressing and frustating. Can anyone who applied at VFS chennai got your status changed?

same i ahve applied on 31st dec from hyd it will come to chennai any way still waiting for that

We had applied for Tier 1 Dependant visa at Hyderabad VFS on 21st December and we got the passport today. I had called Chennai BHC (+91 44 42192310/08 ) on 17th Jan and got to know that the application was processed. VFS updated their website yesterday(18th) and we got our passport today(19th).

Hi,

I have applied Tier 1 Dependent Visa on 29th December 2010 in Chennai VFS Office, Still I did not get the visa and passport back. The status shows application is under process. Do i need to call BHC to status update and to process quickly.

Can any one please let me know, normally how many days will it take to process Tier 1 dependent visa by BHC in India.

is there any Phone number that is available anywhere for checking with the BHC's Delhi / Chennai/ Mumbai?

Could you please confirm whether the number (+44 42192310/08 ) is correct. I keep trying today no one picked.

Yes, they are correct. I had to call them literally 89 times. You can imagine, how busy those lines are!!

The numbers are +91 44 42192310 and +91 44 42192308. You have to call them before 4PM IST.

I called them today on the above number and they told me its in final stage and will be processed on or b4 28th jan. I applied in chennai on 29th dec.

Just collected the passport and visa stamped until jun 2012....wanted to update you guys.

any one else got any updates today ,i litterly called them more than 200 times no response some times its ringing no one is picking up the call and i called befor 4pm clue less

I too applied on 29th dec 10. the visa stamp date is on 31 dec 10. REceived the passport just today 21st Jan 11. Didn't know why its taken this much time to sent the passport to VFS once the decsion has been taken

Hi,

I applied dependent visa for me and my kid on Jan 12 , 2011. The status in VFS site is showing forwarded to BHC. I would like to know does that mean its under processing. For my friend who applied on 14th jan already got her visa approved and it showed under processing, despatched etc. But why is mine just the same even after 11 days.

I am really frustrated , is that the site is not updated properly, because one of my husband's friend got his passport delivered without his status change.

Please let me know if someone got their dependent visas approved this month 2011 january.

How long should I wait or should I call and check.

Hello there,

My wife has applied for the dependant tier 1 on the 12th of Jan as well. The status still shows "under processing with bhc" but this is taking forever. I hope the visa comes before the end of first week Feb. Others please update so we can get an idea of the turn around times currently.

Even I have applied on Jan 12, 2011 from Bangalore VFS. Where did you apply from?

My status is not even Under process, its showing as forwarded to BHC. But people are saying that they are not updating the status regularly, so we can;t judge on them. But still passport is also not received. Hopefully, we are also expecting the courier by next week. Please do update me once you receive yours.

Applied from Chennai. So no courier for me but will need to go and collect. No idea about why your visa status shows as forwarded. It may not have got updated...can only hope it comes soon.
