Tier 1 Visa Extension through Limited Company Contractor

Hi, I have two queries. Would appreciate any help from fellow persons. I am a contractor drawing salary through limited company. Salary is drawn in the form of Payslip and Dividend. Me and my wife hold 50:50 share in limited company. A accountant manages everything, provides in payslips and dividend.

First question

1. Am i employed or self employed for filling tier 1 extension form.
2. What evidence do i need to submit for demonstrating my income. Will
a) Payslip b) Dividend Voucher c) Accountant letterhead letter showing my gross salary + Dividend come d) Personal bank statement are sufficient to demonstrate income

My Fri,

1.U do not own Ltd company...
2.Ltd Company has Director + Sectary
3.Director can take pay..(payslip) from company on monthly or weekly basis
4.Director/share holder can claim dividend from company in end of year

Salary will be transferred from company account each week/month
and dividend will be transferred in end of year, which ur AC will sign and issue you dividend voucher...........

Hence, does it mean.

1. I am employed
2. The four pieces of evidence i.e. 1. Payslip + Dividend Voucher + Accountant Letter + Personal Bank Statement are sufficient for Tier 1 extension

One last query:
- Does payslip has to have accountant company details of mine Limited Company. I move money from business to personal account for net pay & dividend.
- Is there any specific format for payslip or dividend voucher and on whose letter head these should be provided.
- Any stamp or signature required on payslip or dividend voucher.

Payslip will be issued from ur company....
No signature required if printed on Blue Doted paper

Only write latter on your company latter headed paper and get signed from director or from sectary if there is one or last option from accountant

Dividend means u holding some share in xyz company and they give u share after calculating abc......

Divident you can not calculate so u need some expert CA

Hi, I got HSMP starting 31 Oct 2007 till 31 Oct 2009. I came to UK on 30 Dec 2007. I applied for extension early i.e 23 June 2009 (When money was deducted for visa extension fees).

The visa is now extended till 31 Oct 2012 which is 2 months short of qualifying 5 years years i.e. 30 Dec 2012 (As i entered in this country on 30 Dec 2007).

I plan to apply for one more extension next year somewhere in June / July; however just want to make sure i get all docs right as i am working through limited company. Last query: Are rules ok now to apply now 6 months earlier then visa expiry for tier 1 extension. For payslip and dividend voucher is there any special stationary or format that you are aware of. The accountant letter head should just mention me as self employed confirming my earnings under net payslip and net dividend
