In Country Applicant - Whole process

Post by raza79uk » Fri May 21, 2004 7:12 pm

The way we process applications consists of several stages:

1. Firstly, an application is checked and then logged into the system.

2. The file then enters a waiting list (currently 12 weeks)

3. Once a file reaches the front of the queue it is allocated to a
caseworker.

4. Your application is then considered, and it is during this time that you
may be contacted for further information.

5. Then a decision is made, and your original documents (apart from any
passport) are returned to you.

6. We then pass your case to our 'In Country' team, who consider your case from a security perspective.

7. An official decision is then made, and sent out with your passport (if
we have it).

In your case, your applcation is with our 'In County' team, who will make a decision on security grounds. This can take up to 4 weeks, depending on the checks involved.

You may contact them directly at:
Ops2.In-Country@ind.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

From the reply thinking that why they have to take 4 weeks to take a decision on security grounds... As it mean another 4 weeks to wait...

Cheers...
