Query Redg. Uk Experience Points

Dear All,
I am in UK on Tier-1 Visa (valid from 05, Nov, 2008 to 05, Nov, 2011). I will be going for an extension on 05, Nov, 2011.
I have a query regarding points for UK experience.
I have been employed by XXXX Company, London from 08, Nov, 2010. My monthly salary is 2,500 Pounds.
My company requires me to work in its USA Branch and they are sponsoring B1 Visa. I will be working in USA from March, 2011 till September, 2011.
But I will get salary here in UK itself, deposited into my HSBC Account. So now, when I am out of UK for these seven months, the total salary is coming to 17,500 Pounds, where as for the remaining 5 months (I am in UK and working in LondonOffice), my earnings are 12,500 Pounds.

I need 30 points under earnings section (for a minimum earning of 30k) for a total of 75 apart from maintenance and English Language requirements.
My other scores are: (Age:5, Qualification:35, UK Experience:5)

My query is:

Can I claim 5 points for UK Experience? My main concern is regarding this stay out of UK. Should I be physically present in UK while earning a minimum of 16,000 Pounds to claim 5 points? For this claim period (08,Nov,2010 – 01,Nov,2011), I will be earning only 12,500 Pounds while I am present in UK.

I am continuously employed by my UK employer through out this period and they can give a letter to confirm this. I may be given some pocket allowance in USA apart from the salary that I get here.
