1 month (about 4 weeks) is recommended.

Normally 5 weeks before the LTR expire. However, as you read in this forum quite many of people apply 2 month before LTR is expire without having problem.

According to this post, it suggests that for me to apply for FLR I have to wait until somewhere around the 1-2 months before my visa is to expire.

Is this the case?

I am an Aussie currently in the UK on a WHV due to expire 30 Oct 06.
I am flying to Las Vegas in May to marry my fiance.
When we return to the UK I was thinking of applying for a spouse visa, using form FLR(M), in probably late May early June.

Is this too soon to apply?
Do we need to wait until September?
