Sponsorship of a Dependent parent

hi Board members,

Wonder if any one can guide me. My mother recently passed away and I have a dependent father who is living alone in India ( he is 82).

He has no wish to migrate to the UK and live with us ( we are British Indians with OCI) however is there any way of sponsoring him to live with us here in UK for extended periods of time ?

He has been visiting us every year for the past 15 years however always on a tourist visa ( 6 month time limit).

Is there a UK percedence of a sponsorship on these lines ? We are not interested in getting him registered on the NHS as he is financially very comfortable and can afford private medical care.
