Permit Free Training Visa to ILR

Post by iamamonkey » Sat Mar 18, 2006 10:44 am

Hello!

Can people under the Permit Free Training Visa (Doctors, etc) be allowed to apply for ILR after 4 years in continued employment?

If not, what are the chances of applying to the HSMP scheme?

Sorry, the changes in the immigration laws are doing my head in!

Thanks!

No, PFT does not entitle the holder to ILR unless under the 10 year rule.

Most doctors qualify for HSMP after 5 or so years of working so it's worth applyng for.
