qualification query

Post by yaar001 » Wed Mar 02, 2011 11:10 pm

What should I fillin for the year of award under qualification. I had the exams passed on 2006 but the degree certficate was actually given to me during 2007 convocation. My degree certificate says I passed on April 2006 exams and at the end below the unitversity seal it says "Dated 6th jan 2007". So will the year of award be 2006 or 2007.

Check ur transcript
Most of the transcripts clearly specified the date when u pass the exam and dissertation
My understanding is April 2006 is the right date in your case.

It is definitely the awarding date, because university keeps a degree record history and you should write the awarding date 2007 and can explain in your cover letter. I had the similar case as of yours.
