visiting uk from usa

Dear All,

Presently my girl friend is currently studying and living in usa as a student and she had visited UK before but since her UK visiting visa has expired, she plan to apply for renewal but currently her usa student visa has also expired but she has her I-20 that is valid till 2013 which allows her as a student to live legally in usa.

My question now is that, will her I-20 be accepted as evidence of her legal status in usa by the British Embassy in usa for her visting visa application to UK

Form I-94 may be more appropriate to show legal status than form I-20.

If you are allowed to enter the U.S., the CBP official will determine the length of your visit on the Arrival-Departure Record (Form I-94). Since Form I-94 documents your authorized stay in the U.S., it’s very important to keep in your passport.
