Spelling mistake in my name - Acknowledgment Letter

Post by jms_uk » Fri Mar 11, 2011 10:55 am

Hi all!

I've sent off my SET (O) application last week, payment was taken some days ago and this morning I received acknowledgment letter.

However, my name on it is misspelled:

There is a hyphen missing between two parts of my double barrel surname.

Also, ending of my surname is written .....NIUK instead of correctly .....NJUK

Is this something I can/should flag up to them now or wait and see?

Thank you for your assistance.

Rang on Monday, only to be told my ref.no. wasn't in the system [yet] and to call next week.

Rang today again, now told to send them a letter, informing them about wrong spelling.

Just done that now - will see how next correspondence comes...

When I got my letter it had the wrong country of birth on it. I was told to go to the ceremony and return the certificate afterwards together with a letter explaining the mistake. I did that and about 2 weeks afterwards they sent me a corrected certificate.

Hope this helps,
Andrea

Thank you for your message.

This was only the very first letter from HO, just to confirm receipt of my ILR application.

Oh, sorry, I think I misunderstood the question.
Best of luck,
Andrea
