Post by params0073 » Mon Mar 14, 2011 1:39 am

Hi,
Currently i am on general tier 1 visa valid upto april 2012.My wife wants to join me using general tier i dependent visa. Now my question is

1)how long my wifes visa will be valid(as my visa will be due for extension in april 2011)
2)do i have to apply for her extension in april with my extension?

319D. Period and conditions of grant wrote:(a) Entry clearance and leave to remain will be granted for a period which expires on the same day as the leave granted to the Relevant Points Based System Migrant.

Well, since her visa will expire on the same day as yours so she has two options:
1. Apply for extension at the same time as you or later (but before her leave expires), to continue living in the UK.
2. Leave UK on the day / before her leave expires.
