This is a great idea but I fear that sending 100s of same messages will only p*** them off.
I think that a petition online method is far better. We collect 100's of signatures and then - send the petition both in writing and by email to all the concerned parties. It needs to be sent only once.

Lets not upset those who we ask to help us!
