Maintenance Funds - No older than One Calendar Month

Can someone please help clarify the statement "One Calendar Month"

I might be applying on 31st March 2011 or 1st April 2011 and would like to know if a bank statement from 7th March 2011 is valid?

It surely is valid if I apply on the 31st March, but is it also valid if I apply on the 1-2nd of April?

I am reading mixed answers on existing posts

But what is a "One calendar month" then?

So is it "Previous month" from the month you are applying?

It means 30 days.
