can Tier 1 General be extended after April 2011?

i am gonna apply tier 1 general on 31st march 2011, I'll get visa(definitely, no doubt) after April 2011.
after 2 years can i extend my visa although i get visa after 5th April 2011 from where they are going to stop Tier 1 General?
can anyone advise or does anybody know anything about this matter.
i been through to HO pages but got confuse.

I have similar queries so I tried to see the link but I got an error message 'page not found' Can you please provide me another reference?

I hope the new rules are not applicable on someone who got visa before March 2011.
