3 months to get licensed is a standard time.... but they, @#%&*£$, ALWAYS return your documents saying some docs are missing or we need more evidence. tossers

apply from home!

Hi

Applying from home may not be a very good idea- as then you will need to do the RMLT.
I guess you'll just have to leave it to fate and hope for the best

I would say 6 weeks average for the sponsor licence but as Arsenal49 said they are always finding fault with support documents. Tell your sponsor to supply at least 6 documents (inc. the mandatory documents). The minimum is 4 docs but they always find something wrong with at least one thing. If any docs are not originals they MUST be certified by a lawyer who states his or her name and dates it (not just a company stamp).

ROFL Thank god you said that, Wan*ers refused mine saying my docs are certified by a Law firm not an individual even though its been signed by my solicitor. Hopefully UKBA will hire some educated people next time.

Hi guys,
thanks for all ur kind responses. i m thinking to apply it right before my visa expires. I will just submit it without COS number, just the worst case scenario I am expecting. Then, I will try to send the COS number when it is ready.

what do u think will happen?

my sponsor will do the RLMT now and hopefully I will get COS number before mid May.

I know I am on the edge of getting screwed. :(

just hoping it to go well.

don't want to further dampen your spirits but....

if you dont give them cos, then your app will be categorised as invalid and returned back in less than 2 week as oppose to 4-6 week, which is standard time to process tier 2 application

you need to be aware of this so you can make a decision with all facts and risks infront of you

Hi arsanel, thanks for the reply. I guess if I do like that, I will end up having bad records in their system.
i will just leave it to fate. let's see.

It's REALLY Frustrating to see how "Skilled" people get screwed over while all the useless chavs live in Benefits and fly high. F*ck this system ! Sorry but this is just so unfair//

I applied my SL on 27th April online and I am still waiting.
Last week I called the UKBA and they said: It will be processed in the end of August whoever applied in the last week of April.

I need that badly coz I have to apply for tier-2 as soon as I can. Cant wait, have some personal problems.

What about you?

Hi syedasad,
As I mentioned to you I have applied on 23 April, I also called UKBA regular basis but they are not sure when will they process my application. I have feeling that it will be 5-6 months means as you said end of august or September. I need desperately too as I am in Tier4 dependent visa. How about you? Are you in dependent visa?

My company applied for sponsorship licence on April 28th, we have still not received anything and my visa expires in 6 days. I have been told a range of dates from UKBA including 12 weeks right up to 18 weeks minimum. We have also applied for an urgent case but have not received anything as of yet.

I dont know who is responsible for the delay. I have got some urgency to travel in Feb 2013. I hope I will get visa before that date. Also, there are some arrangements dependant on my visa.

If it helps, it took us 16 weeks for a new sponsor license (Feb 22 app, June 22 approval) + 3 weeks for COS on the 11th.

Thankyou for the information brother.

Just have a query on your comment. Please tell me:

1. Why it took 3 more weeks for COS?
2. after getting SL, how do you ACTUALLY apply for COS?

I am doing everything on my own. If you guide me, I will be thankful to you.
Please answer both questions in detail in you can.

Regards
