tier 2

Post by ivanhoe » Sat Mar 26, 2011 11:25 am

Good day everybody. Please what happens after April 6th for someone with a PSW and has been working for same employer for more than 8 months ? Do you have to be earning above 20k even if you are earning less but in a graduate position ? My PSW however, does not expire untill may 2012. Thank you.

Your salary should match the designation code from the Standard Code of Practice. So if its lower than that, you'll need to ask your employer to increase your salary to the required level.

i am in the same situation ,my salary is above the appropriate rate
3537 Financial and Accounting Technicians experienced appropriate rate is 15k and i am earing 18k
http://webarchive.nationalarchives.gov. ... actice.pdf

but i think even salary according to the above appropriate rate the minimum salary should be 20k which is minimum requirement to apply ou for tier 2 after 6th april i can ask my employer to increase but

i am working with employer since one year and visa requirement is that you to be employed for 6month, does it mean that i should have 20k salary in last 6 month or if my employer increase my salary this month then i can apply after three month will that be ok

Thanks alot

sorry i put my question in other words

I am working with my current employer since one year on 18k per year

for example they increase my salary to 20k in april and i apply for visa in may will that be ok?

switching from psw to tier2

PSW 30points
appropriate salary rate 20 points
exempted from RMLT because of PSW

can you please also confirm the above points are ok according to new rules

Thanks

Yes, you should be fine. As long as you earn a min of 20K and your salary is equal to or above the reqd salary level for your occupation.

at the time, when your sponsor is making a COS application, ENSURE THAT:
1) your job title is EXACTLY same as the title mentioned in Code of practice
2)that you are being paid the salary as mentioned against that job title.

If you do that, you will get points for 'appropriate slary'!

cheers
