Student visas: statement of intent and transitional measures

The first round of implementation, including interim measures, will be made by laying changes to the Immigration Rules before parliament on 31 March which will come into effect on 21 April 2011. There will be further changes to the Immigration Rules taking effect in summer 2011, in April 2012 and by the end of 2012.

does it mean that IELTS will be compulsory also students applying after 21 april?

actually i am applying study visa for my brother...CAS will be issued within 3/4 days...before 5 april.... if he applies before 21 april...will he apply without IELTS?

HI, Just one question,

Regarding The English Language requiremnts.

I got conditional offer at HTS, A University. Will not be able to get CAS before 21st April due to in process of accumulating my bank statement. I hod a Bsc (Hons) Degree from UK University. Do I still need English language Test ?

I just confirmed from the university that if you have a UK degree, then you are exempted from English language Test requirements.

Just to clarify the changes for Tier 4 students, I understand that changes effective from 21st April 2011 are:

1. English Language Test Requirements.

This is the only change which will be effective from 21st April 2011.

Correct me if I am wrong please.
