Dates for Tier 1 Extension

Post by tvsgold » Sun Apr 03, 2011 9:49 pm

Hi All,

I have applied for my initial HSMP on 29/01/2008 & received my HSMP approval letter on 27 feb 2008 (Thats the date on the HSMP approval letter).
I then applied for my Entry Clearance in India & received the date on Tier 1 Visa as 21 may 2008 to 21 may 2011
Now i have to apply for my Tier 1 extension .......& as per Home Office Guidance , they ask to apply before 1 month of the leave expriration...
which will be in my case is 21st of april 2011.

So in summary

Date on HSMP approval Letter - 27 feb 2008
Date on Tier 1 visa - 21 may 2008 to 21 may 2011
Date of first Entry in Uk - 15 Jun 2008

When i have to apply for my ILR (Indefinate leave to Remain) after 2 Years.....how will they calculate the dates for a continous 5 years period time,
so that I get a ILR without again applying for an Tier 1 Extension ?

What date would be ideal time for the 1st tier 1 extension for me now ,
so that i dont need to go for 2nd tier 1 extension before going for my ILR (Indefinate leave to remain) ?

Thanks
TVS

Apply for extension within the one month preceding the date of expiry of current leave. Simple!
