I got nationality

Post by mohsin_uol » Sat Apr 09, 2011 8:20 pm

Hi all,

I came to UK on Student visa 4 years ago and got married to a EU national.

While on Student Visa, I also got my EU nationality

Now my qeuestion is that Do I need to tell home office about that or not ?

Becuase I have to live in UK now on my EU nationality basis.. while home office has me in their record as student ....... so I am confused whether I need to tell them or not ?

If yes, how shall I tell them ? I mean any application or just a letter with my passport ?

Please let me know if you can.

Thanks

No, you don't have to tell them a thing.

Since you're now a european (EU national), you're not under any restriction.

You may wanna apply for registration certificate to confirm your right of residence in the uk. That is not to say you dont currently have the right to stay.
