Naturalisation : 2009 Applicants Timeline Tracker.

Post by savy » Sun Apr 17, 2011 2:56 am

Hai folks,

Does anyone know of any early 2009 applicants status?

How much time it is currently taking to get the Naturalisation approval ?

I applied in Dec 2008 and got acknowledgement on 2nd week of Jan 2009 and when I contacted them this week, they said 'my application is with outside agencies' and that's what they are saying from Feb 2011.

Any suggestions ?

Cheers,
Savy

According to the time line tracker its looking like applicants from mid 08 are starting to receive their answers. Meaning end of 08 applicants to follow in couple of months time. Probably last quarter of 2011 will see early 09 applications to start coming through.

Thanks for the reply !

mmm....I thought, I will get the letter asking for latest documentation soon. My current Garda card expires in August 2011 and I thought I will get the approval before and never have to renew my garda card but looks like I need to renew it in August again

Cheers
Savy :(

Today I saw the update from INIS on the Information On Application Processing Times

The average time from application to decision is now at 25 months.

The section is currently commencing further processing of applications received in mid 2009.

so, some progress :?:

Post by dgnhly » Tue Apr 26, 2011 4:29 am

Guys,

Just to share that my naturalisation application is approved yesterday. For the benefit of the forum my timelines are as follow;

- Application : 15/09/2008
- Adittional documents asked: Mid June 2009 (3 payslips/ 3 month bankstatement)
- Birt Cert were asked again: 27/01/2011 (was already in the initial file),
- Approval: 25/04/2011

Good luck for the rest of the group,

Congrats dgnhly !

Thats great news !!!

Lessons learned for me and others, even though I finished my 5 year in September 2008 , I delayed applying for naturalization for 3 months and applied in Dec 2008 and got acknowledgement in Jan 2009. So I became 2009 batch now :(

So, anyone who want to apply in future, please don't waste not even a week after completing 5 years.

Savy

Hi

I am thinking of calling them(INIS) once each month to check the status and progress of my naturalization application. Is it ok or will there be any issue if we call them each month. Any advice please...

Savy

You can call them every week, not a problem as I don't think the calls are recorded in their systems.

But I wonder if that makes any difference.

Good luck with your application.

I think it will not have any impact on your application, just you will follow up.
Please keep us updated with the information you will get (we, the 2009 applicants)
peace on you

What I did exactly is sending them a letter asking them about my status.
and they replied by asking me for further documents as follow
Payslips for the latest 3 monts, banks statement for the latest 3 months,P21 for the last year.
so my suggestion is to do the same and see the result and if they did not reply send them those documents
peace on you

And never ask me for any further documents at all at any time.. sent my last years p21 and updated passport copy on my own initiative..I asked the lady on the phone do I need to send any more documents she said nothing at all everything in order..I dont know what is happening..now Savy is jan2009 applicant and asking for further documents..weird

nothing weird, if you already submitted all the documents on your own initiative, there was no reason for the department to ask for the sam edocuments again. so in fact you speeded up your application. and it seems that you decision is pretty close
