RETURN OF COA FORM

Post by Liviana » Sun Apr 17, 2011 11:31 pm

Hi my name is Liviana. I have recently applied for the COA form to Croydon UKBA office. I have posted it on 22nd March, a week before I already booked my planes and everything to go home.To make this case simpler, basically I regret what I did and I realised (livi youre such an idiot)! SIGH.

I wanted my passport (and my partners passport) back! Before we go back to my home town for my familys wedding on 3rd May. I kept calling the UKBA to check about the document, whether its been dispatched etc, they didnt seem to be bothered much, and at least care :( I filled the Return of documents ( twice on the 7 and 8 April). Means it is almost 5 working days from the date today, and I am extremely worried I wont get it in time....

Anyone can give me suggestions about this :
Perhaps experience with the Return of COA? How long usually it will be dispatched etc?! It is recorded, and that is the only thing I know. With Bank and Public holidays, I was actually thinking to go down to Surrey by myself and go to the UKBA take the passports but will they actually entertain me? I have filled this is URGENT
etc, and do you guys think they will react fast and help us asap? What do you guys think? Any advices are deeply appreciated.

I am so worried that I actually couldnt sleep and lost some weight :( HELP! I am not sure whether the UKBA actually will react if I call and beg for their help everyday..I am so upset and well extremely depressed...

Look forward to reading your thoughts guys
Thanks.

Liv-

Call UKBA and ask nicely if you can go and collect your passport in Croydon in person. Its normally from 8-12pm that's what i ended up doing after they spent a month without returning my passport when i had sent a COA application. The reason i said ''nicely'' is because sometimes you can talk to someone (at UKBA) who will tell you that its not possible yet that option of collecting in person is available as long as the passport hasn't been sent out yet....

Hi Flames

Thank you for the response. I have tried to call them - the UKBA today. Twice in fact.

The second person - is a man he was really helpful and the first time I felt like I was actually talking to a NICE call centre person. He did say I cant collect for my partner though, and he can only help to send a request and they will contact me back, not sure when... I hope everything works out.

Thanks again!

They will contact you after 3-4 days telling you to come and collect your passport. Unfortunately you can't collect your partner's passport and they will have to do it themselves

Yeah Flames,

I was told about that :) They at least sort of responded to me this time, maybe becoz I kept sobbing ! *such a wimp!*

I just can wait now, worse come to worse, I need to get a new passport and transfer my Visa. Another problem, I know it will cost quite alot.

Cheers.
