Tier 1 Extension - No Job

Hi,

I have a query regarding extension of tier 1.

Is it mandatory to be in the job while applying tier 1 extension.

I just left a job and currently searching for contracts. I am due for an extension within couple of months.

Although, I have all the necessary points, just want to make sure whether it will get rejected if i apply without a job.

I have registered a company and is it enough to mention that while applying.

Please let me know whether I need to wait till i get a contract and apply or can apply straightaway.

As long as you meet the income criteria ie. any 12 consecutive months in the last 15 months, then you are alright. So if you meet the income criteria with just 2 months income say 12 months ago, then you are still alright.

You dont need to be in a job at time of application, just meet the criteria to achieve the necessary points.
