Urgent advice about application

Hi to all,
I have applied for visa extension on 8th of April 2011 and my visa would be expired on 12th Apirl 2011. But till now i didnot get any letter for bio-metric. So i have called to home office they told me that i have paid less application fee so that the application might be invalid. Mistakenly i have paid 385 pound instead of 386 pound(1 pound less).Can i pay remaining amount? If I have to reapply for the visa extension do i have to pay application fee again? I didnot get back my application form and all the document.
What should i do? Please help me out.
