Tier 1 Extension and Dependent Visa

Post by middletier 1 » Sat May 21, 2011 8:03 am

Hi all,

I have got my Tier 1 Visa on Nov. 2009 and i went to UK couple of times for job search in 2010, since i didn't find the suitable job, thus came back to India and working here, now i have a job offer in UK and going to UK in next month.

Regarding my Tier 1 extension in next year, as i have got the visa in 2009 thus my earning points would be same as ealier i.e) £ 40k and above is 45 points right, please clarfy.

As i am going next month and would like to apply visa for my wife and kid after 3 months, and i would like to know about the funds, do i need to show £1600 ( my wife) + £1600 ( my kid) + £800 ( my self) or also £1800 for myself, i am in confusion, please clarify me on this.

Also is there language IELTS requirement for my wife to get the dependent visa?

I am looking forward for the replies. many thanks in advance

Regards

yes.. earning point slabs will remain same as were applicable in your initial application time. Same you can verify on points calculator.

It is not 1800 but 2800 for entry clearance.

Better to show - 2800 + 1600 + 1600 to be on safer side.

No english language requirement for dependent.

Many thanks for your reply.

Actually i didn't understand the Entry Clearance for me as £ 2800, since i have already got the visa and next month going to uk and will be saying there only, thus in that case i ma thinking that i need to show only £ 1800.

could please clarify me.

There have been rejections for dependent applications from outside UK.

Refer to the below link:

Thank you so much for the link, i have gone through the link and clarified my doubts. yes you are right better to maintain £ 2800, to avoid the risk.

Better to apply for your wife & kids at the same time when you're applying, if possible. They can travel later. After 3 months of gap you have to prove your subsisting relationship also.
