maintenance fund query

I am asking this question on behalf of my friend, who has just got the T1(G) visa for himself and his wife, recently they have been blessed with a baby boy and now he wants to apply for his visa as well, now the question is how much maintenance funds he needs to show in his account?

is it 800+533+533= 1866

or

800+533 = 1333

also for how long that amount he needs to show in his account? 3 months or 1 month?
